Thread: baby born india 1940s

My mother (British) had a baby in India (now Pakistan) between 1940 and 1944. I believe at various times she was a VAD nurse, possibly in Quetta Lucknow Karachi or Calcutta.Her home was in the Hill stations. Has anyone any idea how would I go about finding out more. I presume the baby was adopted.( I do know the birth fathers name but I don't think he was involved)
