Hi, i found on freebmd Death AMOS HUDSON march qtr 1871 Marylebone age 31 ( wonder if it meant 81 maybe not.)
vol 1a page 459.
I googled THE STRAND UNION WORKHOUSE and found under 1881 census Edmonton Workhouse under Staff.
SARAH HUDSON widow age 79 pauper Laundress born Tunbridge wells, middlesex. also JAMES HUDSON unmarried age 39 pauper Jobbing Labourer born Marylebone.
Sorry Markf it sounds like the family fell on hard times.
