I have an 1881 census record which lists the birthplace of a Joseph Charleston as Fair Green, Staffordshire.

I can't find any reference to such a place in the county.

Can anyone help with ideas of where Fair Green is, please?

    Many thanks, Weemaxcat

    Other Information:

Age 15 Occupation Scholar Marital Status U <Unmarried>

Head of Household Owen OWENS Relation Inmate

    Source Information:

In the 1871 Census there is a Joseph 1866 living and born in Hanley. Perhaps this is the same Joseph.

    Hello

I think actually pinpointing Fair Green Hanley/Stoke on Trent may be difficult

Stoke on Trent was made up of 6 villages, and referred to in the 1950's as Stoke Stone and The Potteries, I think Nurslem was another....

noggin you'r back! yes there is another ad for CHARLSON James
