I'm also looking for an Annie Alice Osbourne on the Census but can't find her anywhere. Born around 1896 on marriage cert and her father was Lewis Osbourne or Louis, not sure.

Looks like your one was right on the 2nd one. According to the marriage cert Louis was a waiter in 1921. For the info you required the marriage was in 1921, Hammersmith and Married to William H Root, which is in another post.

Glad that one of them came up trumps!



So if you need to order certificates here are Annie Alice’s birth & death records – the informant for her death obviously thought she was 2 years younger than she actually was!!!! I have a “young lady” in my tree who went through life pretending to be 18 years younger than her birth record proved!!
