    Hi

I am trying to find info on this lady who is my grand mother but no one has seen her since 1944.

She married my grandfather Kenneth Lockley in 1934 and lived in London. She had 2 sons Kenneth and William. They divorced in 1944.

I believe she re-married and bcame a Stollard.

Basically her 2 sons have not seen her since 1944.The Lockley family are from Lancaster. I presume she is now dead but there may be half brothers an sisters etc.

what makes you believe she became a stollard. is it family tales or is it because on the marriage index to your grandfather in 1934 it mentions stollard

    Hi,

Going on from Elasbels' post, I beleive there is a transcription error in the marriage she found and the surname should be Stevens:

    Name: Roy V Stevens

    Spouse Surname: Meyrick

    Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1944

    Registration district: Croydon

    Registration county (inferred): Surrey

    Hi,

    Also, is this Edna's birth?

Here is the death of her 2nd husband, it may lead you to be able to narrow down an area for hers.

Kenneth, my grandad, was a Lockley. His mother was a Stollard.

I knew that Edna was Welsh but had no idea where from so many thanks for this.

I had a look round for Edna/Bronwyn Meyrick on the 1911 census but couldn't see her. She may have been born after 2nd April when the census was taken.

If you get the marriage cert it will give Edna's age and her father's name and occupation. You can then be a bit more certain about any likely death cert, though I couldn't see anything likely when I looked.
