Thread: 1841 Census Look-Up Needed Please

Hi,



Could some kind person have a look for Thomas Fowler and his family for me in 1841.



In 1851 he is living in Kirkdale, Liverpool with wife Margaret born abt 1815 in Leyland Lancashire and daughter Jane born Kirkdale 1839.



I can't find a marriage for either of them and I am wondering if Thomas had a wife previous to Margaret as there is a gap between the 1st 2 children and also a change of district.



Any help gratefully received.

I have just found that baptism on IGI!! Is Parry Street in Liverpool please?



I think the census, your 1st answer, is not Thomas. 'My' Thomas was born c 1808 in Blackburn or Darwen.



I can't find a marriage for him either. I have also tried one for Margaret Nuttall, thinking that may be Jane's mother's maiden name!

not sure baout parry street back in 1840's - the church is the right church for a kirkdale birth - many of may ancestors were baptised there.



a poss for thomas - brindle is near chorley and leyburn - not too far from blackburn

Yes, I know Brindle well, I live about 10 miles from there now! Margaret says she was born Leyland which is about 10 miles in a westerly direction. Leyburn is a favourite haunt of mine for holidays!! How did you find Leyburn please?
