    Hi Noggin28

I am guessing that this is John’s birth index entry

    Name: John Walker Kitchin

    Year of Registration: 1882

    Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep

    District: Bootle Cul

    County: Cumberland

    Volume: 10b

    Page: 6[3_]5

so I think that this is a very possible death entry for him

    Death Index

    Name: John Walker Kitchin

    Birth Date: 10 Aug 1882

    Death Registration Month/Year: 1978

    Registration district: Blackpool & Fylde

    Inferred County: Lancashire

    Volume: 40 Page: 0647

There is a John Kitchen who returns from New York to Liverpool on 4 Oct 1911 on the Campania.

On William’s 1923 passport application he states that he was naturalized as a US citizen before the District Court of Toole County at Shelby Montana on 13 Oct 1915 and that he intended returning to the UK for a visit.

There is a William Kitchen (45 and single) who arrives in New York 4 Aug 1924 on the SS Cedric from Liverpool, who gives the same naturalization details as above.

Also I don’t know if you have William’s WW1 Draft Registration card?

    Name: William Kitchin

    County: Teton

    State: Montana

    Birth Date: 4 Mar 1877

Race: White FHL Roll Number: 1711446

But on it he says that he is already working for Donald McRea and gives his mother as nearest kin – which to me would suggest that John is no longer living in the US.
