Thread: Atkinson

Hi all



I am trying to find any info on a brick wall I have come across with a Thomas Atkinson born abt 1773 married a Mary Watson 16/07/1792 in Kirkella nr Hull. They had 13 children all born in Swanland or Westella. I have info from the census coming forward but would love to find his parents and Mary's.

Found a Thomas Atkinson b. 1773 c. 18 april 1773 Hawnby, Yorkshire d. 3 feb 1852 Hawnby, Yorkshire, If you have Thomas's death date then this info will help .

Father William Atkinson b. abt 1727 d. 1809 married 1760 Kirby on Cleveland Elizabeth Douglas b. 1734 d. 1879

Thomas was one of five children.

thanks for this reply sadly this is not the correct Thomas. He is listed on the 1841 census but not on the 1851, so I assume that he died in between.

Hi Alan, do you have any names of his brothers or sisters ? i could try another search with their names for you

do you have any idea roughly where he was born, was it kinkella, hull

I don't know of any siblings for Thomas Atkinson. He married in Kirkella all children from his marriage are born Westella or Swanland. Thomas's

wife Mary, parents married in North Ferriby. all these villages are just outside of Hull

Ok Alan, found a few possibilities for Mary's parents

HENRY WATSON married MARY HALL 16 may 1758 NORTH FERRIBY

JOHN WATSON married MARY JEFFERSON 24 july 1754 NORTH FERRIBY

JOHN WATSON married ELIZABETH HORSLEY 20 oct 1777 NORTH FERRIBY



will keep trying for Thomas's parents .

maybe you should buy his marriage certificate as then you will have both parents names.
