Parents John Holmes & Caroline and the marriage of John Holmes & Caroline maiden name unknown abt 1830

the Son George Holmes married in N.S.W. Australia abt 1866 to a Margaret Wade

have not been able to find his birth or arrival in Australia George Holmes died 1918 at Cargo N.S.W. Australia, and on his death certificate it states his Parents were John Holmes a Hotel Proprietor & Mother Caroline (unknown)

any help would be most appreciated
