    Hello

The problem with the 1841 census is that some enumerators rounded the age up to 5 or 0 therefore William SMITH could be born between 1756 - 1766 same applies to Henry

There are entries made by contributors to the site www.familysearch.org.uk but no actual record.

Do you have the death cert for either named shich may give a more positive age?

Have you looked at www.genuki.co.uk for info on Morley Church records and Monumental inscriptions?

Thought you might like this info

    Hi Elsabels

Thank you for the prompt reply, so pleased to have some feed back, the date of death for Henry is given as 21/7/1893

For William I have no idea, Williams DOB was put down as 80yrs on the 1841 census but as you say they were rounded off, I have found a dob for William in Morley as 1756/ 1760 but which one,

as they were both living together at Morley in 1841 and around 1800 there was a William Smith living at Morley Smithy same address, I am only assuming they are related father and Son,

I will have a look at the website you sentand check things out but living here in France it poses a problem at times

many thanks ,Will keep you informed

    regards

    George
