Thread: GG Grandparents parents sort

The 2 people below are my gg grandparents:



Potterspury parish records: Marriage 31 Apr 1831 Samuel MEAKINS & Ann WILLIAMS in Potterspury.



In the 1861 census for Ann Williams it states where born: as Swarford, Oxfordshire, England. birth about 1808

(I believe Swarford is Swerford NE of Chipping Norton)



In the same census it as Samuel Meakins born Potterspury, Northamptonshire about 1807



I am looking for the parents of both Samuel and Ann.



I also want to know if Joseph Meakins born abt 1802 in Pottersury is a sibbling of Samuels. He married Susanna Adams on 17 jun 1819 (Potterspury Churh records)



I have been stuck on this for 3yrs now so any help appreciated.

not sam but a family big age gap between a child in 1810 and the next 1822 cud be yours unless they are cousins

The Joseph born 1924 is the son of Joseph and Susanna.

Samuel Meakins gives his place of birth a PAULERSPURY which is a short distance away from Pottersbury, maybe there is a church in that village



There is also a reseacher on Ancestry with Kitty MEAKINS at PAULERSPURY showing parents of James MEAKINS & Mary Elizabeth TODDY might be worth looking at

Thanks for the reply Elsabels. I already knew about the Ann born in Stratton Audley. Its about 18 miles E from Swerford, NE of Bicester.



I have also been on both the Paulespury and Potterspury site for help.



I know about Kitty born 1807 in Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire, to James and Mary is this the one refer to?
