Hi, sorry to be a pain, but Im stuck,

Im trying to find out if the parents of Robert George Rutland,born in Aylsham district Norfolk abt 1884, I think they may be George and Sarah (nee watts), which then leads me on to who are Georges parents, as I believe there are 2 Georges born within a couple of years of each other abt 1844 and 1846???

I really appreciate all the help you have given in the past, and would just like to reiterate what a wonderful site this is, especially for technophobes like myself, and how grateful we are that there are people like yourselves who give up your time to help us.

here is his birth. getting the certificate would give you a definate parentage with occupations and addresses. especially important if two likely fathers are around at same timescale.

You must have the fastest fingers in the west!!! Thats astonishing!

And youre right doesnt help that almost the entire Rutland population in Norfolk were ag labs!

its strange because he always gives guist as his birthplace but where is he in the missing two census. there are rutlands in guist then . i wondered if george was a middle name and he was using another name as a child but birth reg seems to suggest otherwise

I didnt think it would be George Mitchell, because of the different districts, and I think he died within a couple of years of his birth,

Im pretty sure we are looking at the right George, can you find his parents?

It seems that James and Elizabeth, had a George, and so did John and Ann, I think the info comes from Colkirk in Norfolk????

i have been sticking to guist rather than colkirk alhtough there are quite a few rutlands there as he is definite in each census that guist is his birthplace.

sorry elizabeth and james are there in 1841 but not 1851 . again george is not with them ????? which is very peculiar.
