Can someone please look up the marriage of my gt. gt. grandparents JAMES CLEMOW/CLYMORE AND PHILLIPPA ? Not sure of her surname ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

James born 1811 and Phillippa 1815 Think they are both Redruth, or Gwennap, Cornwall, but not sure .

You could try the birth certificate for the mothers name:

Lisa did you see any other children? its all rather complicated as i thought James married SUSANNA but seems he couldve married a Phillippa , rekon i'll have to buy a marriage certificate to see what the parents of ANN CLEMOW were !

whos ANN?



i did not find an ann. i think i would start with your ancestor and get their certificate if you have the details. it should prove mothers names and confirm susanna or phillipa.

pre sept 1837 you will have to get baptism certificates from church transcripts, if you are going to get church transcripts you may find parents marriage there too. It may be easier to get one of the childrens brth certs after that date as records are available next day and cost less than £10. (from www.gro.gov.uk)and sometimes (but not always) easier to read.
