    Hi,

I've just added an image to the gallery because I need some help trying to decipher what part of it says. The image is that of Llewellyn Perkins' enlistment papers. The bit I'm having problems with is directly above the info about character at the bottom of the page. It says 'something', Resolven. Can anybody work out what the 'something' says please?

Also, why would this be written here?

    Many Thanks

    MrsP

    Hi Elsabels,

Thank you for your reply. Thought that might be the case. Were you able to decipher the 1st part of the address? I've tried to and have typed variations into google but havent been able to come up with anything.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Elsabels and Bandit,

Thank you so much for your replies

Bandit-unfortunately the 1881 isn't my Llewellyn-he was born in 1872, however his parents were John and Mary and he was a gunner and a stoker-where did you come across that info?!!

I have found him on sll the censuses and on the 1891 census he is living at 16 Lyons Row, Resolven, which is the same address he gives for his next of kin on his papers, dated 1893. It's very strange as his WWI papers appear to have been lost and notes have been added to these ones.

    Many Thanks
