Do you know if he had any siblings,the name if very common and it might help in the search.

thanks to you all for your replys, sorry i dident give much to go on and i realize hughes is a common name so here is some more to go on thomas patrick hughes b west derby liverpool c 1891, had a sister named jane and i think brothers james and william, he married mary catherine maher also b liverpool, i hope this will be enough for you to go on

hi and again thanks for taking the time to do lookups for me.

i understand looking for hughes's is like looking for a needle in a haystack, i have tried to order a marriage cert also thomas's birth cert from the registrars in liverpool but they said without all the details they cannot issue a certificate as they do not do searches they only go on what information i give them, so thanks for your help i will give this brickwall up as a lost cause
