Im trying to find the death of Nannie Morcom,(ann) born 1853 Gwennap, Cornwall,i know she was a servant in 1891 and unmarried but that seems to be as far as i can trace her , can anyone help me please ?

I found this death entry which could have been miss spelt :

Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar Age at Death: 46

District: Redruth (To 1974) County: Cornwall Volume: 5c Page: 192

Redruth would have been the nearest Reg office to Gwennap

Thanks bandit, from hearsay she died in the workhouse, but i cant find out, well not properly !

i got a reply she died in 1900 , but just wanted to make sure , thanks for helping me though, nice when you get some help.

Once i got the right famiIy - the search was easy - giad to be of assistance even if it wasnt exactIy what you were Iooking for . Perhaps you can get someone somwhere to do a 1911 search - that wiII reveaI her or not - then if not you have a smaer gap to search. Its IikIey she died in the area she Iast was .May be a kind registrar woud do a search. Nannie is an unusuaI name so is the surname so they may be forgiving and Iook - especiaIy if you buy a certificate. Otherwise have a Iook for work houses in the area or the free BMD records. If I have a chance tomorow I wiII see what eise I can unearth. bye for now.

Hi just had avery cursory Iook but your best bet is CornwaII onIine Parish Cierks - they do searches for free- you can actuay e - mai one of the cerks for the parish you want - pIus there are searchabIe databases - Ioads of Morocom in PARISH registers. Going tobed now now put wiII check in tomorow
