Hi,

new to all this trying to trace my parents families. my mums parents are james darley and sarah norton he was a plater for british rail, lived at fern avenue staveley,think they married in 1919 but was told they originate from attercliffe sheffield, my dad was from ireland all i no is he came over from wexford or cork born 1929 married my mum 1953 died 1979 came over with his brothers n sisters they stayed were they docked. think my mums mum had sisters called blanche n gladys, blanche married a george barnard, one issue i have is sarah norton born 1896 then blanche n gladys in 1914 onwards just seems like a huge gap for my grat nan to av kids, any help appreciated

This was in q2 ( April / MAy / June) 1919 Chesterfield ref: 7b 2006



Your mother (who you do not name)

a) married your father (who you do not name) b 1929 Cork / Wexford) in circa 1953 he died 1979

had a Aunt Blanche NORTON ?m George Barnard

c) a Aunt Gladys NORTON b circa 1914



Then there is Sarah NORTON b 1896 where? Yorkshire

hi.

thanks for that just looking at my limited info that i posted lol, my mums name was majorie born 29/9/1932 died 06/04/2007, married my dad nicholas redmond 1953 he was born 16/11/1929 died 14/12/1979, think gladys may be james darleys sister not much info on this, but my nan sarah darley nee norton had sisters blanche and possibly nelly i thought gladys was a norton but may be wrong.

Just looking at my uncles address for when he was born and it is lees buildings so it seems this could be the correct family, ive ordered a marriage certificate for sarah norton and james darley so will no for definite.
