Hi I am trying to fing the birth place of my GG Grandfather Charles William Flowers i have done a search for him and found a website on civil war soldiers and it has him born on March 8, 1845 at Littleport, Cambridgeshire, England but i can't find him.. On his death certificate it has Rev William Benedict Flowers as his father but i have traced his family and going by the dates he would have been 16 then becames a anglican minister and his Mother Charlotte Cornwall. Charles Fought in the Civil War for Ohio U.S.A and married rachel Priest they then came to New Zealand. I am wanting to get his birth certificate but because i don't no where he was born it is a little hard.I did find a shiping list on the yorktown to US with a Charles Flowers right age and Charlotte Flowers aged 32.

Are you able to help me?

    Thanks

    Jacquie

Hi Thanks for all your help. If there is a chance that William Benedict Flowers is Charles Father going by the dates William Would have been 16. I guess that did happen but i wonder why he disappeared from the clergy list. I will email Alan Flowers and see if he can help me. I see to on that site that William had a sister Charlotte but she would have been to young to be his mother. This is really hard all the other lines of my family just fell into place but this one is proving a little more difficult.

Sorry i meant to say the family tree you found is my family and i have all the information for most of family because they came to New Zealand. The only one i have nothing on is Roy Flowers their son who came to New Zealand as a baby but he got done for cattle restling and skipped the country and went to Argentina.
