I cannot find a birth reg for a Janet Ewing c1881, a marriage reg c1910 or on any census.

There is a marriage for Robert W Kitchin 1910 Whitehaven, Cumbria to a Jeannie Mc C Fisher.

Could her mother have been married to someone McFisher before John Ewing?

Yes I know, but...instinct tells me I am correct......



Jane Ewing as a marriage comes up on freebmd I thought that index was the one used by ancestry, but it doesn't match up....Jeannie MC C FISHER what a name?



It needs a look at the original entry or if church parish record.....maybe i will get up there in May as the jazz is on in Keswick!



I abandoned this as it was a stray family, if I can trace a current family member,I may stand a better chance, but I must wait until the summer when that person visits an elderley Kitchin cousin...another long story, someone a close Ktchin relative worked with ( they have been retired 18+ years) called and the conversation drifted to KITCHIN when the visitor mentioned her Kitchin cousin, from what my elderley rellie gleaned this family noggin28 is searching is the family.....

Everything comes to he who waits!!!!!!



Now you know who the other researcher is!

I have just looked at the original 1911 entry and it is quite clearly JANE I have reported a transcription error.....I suppose you did as I did and accepted what was on the front cover!



William Ewing is the son of John Ewing who is head of the household



We can both amend our records now!
