Thread: Birth/death of child on 1911 census

I'm trying to establish the birth, death & sex of a child noted on the 1911 census.

The child was born between 1906 & had sadly died before 1911.

Father was Aaron Thomas Price, mother Mary Alice Price nee Phillips.The birth would have either been registered in Dowlais, Glamorgan or Bridgend, Glamorgan.

I've tried the BMD but there are many options - most of which are giving me late 1911 which isn't possible given the census was April.

Any help very much appreciated.

Thanks for your interest. I know its a long shot - too many Prices! I was hoping they would specify the mmn but the earlier records don't. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

Only live births are registered and if this was a stillbirth or miscarriage it would proibably not be registered.



You could try the parish records, there may have been a service which will have been entered, the dialogue may only show the nature of the birth/death and not the sex of the child.....you will identify it as the names of the parents will be shown
