Does Flora say she is head of the household, does she describe herself as wife?

I can't see a likely death either. Perhaps he was a fisherman and drowned at sea? Often the body was washed up weeks or months later and quite unrecognisable.

Thanks for ideas and advice. His wife married into my family many years later, it was only when someone asked what happened to him did I start looking. I didnt want to go down the shelling out line if there was a resource that I had missed on the net like a list of lost seamen from Grimsby, i seem to have spent a fortune on the 1911 already and was resisting, but it looks like thats the next stop, or as he is not directly in the family just let that one go.

Thats the family, thanks for the info. My guessing is that he was at sea in both 1901 and 1911 (if still alive)

Its also my thinking to put him on the back burner. This generation of the family has taken more time than the rest of the 230 years ive done on this branch so far.
