just seen that ancestry has a tree with these people on - they have the same census entries as i have found and also the marrige to elizabeth martin ( 27 dec 1836). is this yours??? they have a picture of elizabeth martin.
they have parents as joseph brightey (1816 Skirbeck,lincs -1886)and elizabeth dickson (1813-1862)but no evidence cited. you may wish to contact them . if you are not a member i will forward something on your behalf if you wish - send me a pm with a contact email to give them
