i am trying to confirm who the parents are of Charles Mansell - born homerton/ hackney east london c1876.

I have my family in 1891 with GRANDSON CHARLES MANSELL, age 15, occupation Van Boy carm...

but i now have doubts and wonder who his parents were.

in the same household is my ggg grandfather, ggg grandmother, gggrandparents and ggrandfather and his brother.

    Theodore Mansell, head age 76

    Jemima mansell, wife, age 68

    Harry mansell , son , 33

emily mansell (daughter in law) 37

    ambrose mansell, grandson, 4

    william mansell, grandson, 1

Charles mansell, grandson, age 15 - born homerton

nathan william (k/a/ william)born 1889 is my gr grandfather.

harry had a brother Charles who died in 1895, his wife had died in 1890 and they left 2 daughters and a son. i wonder if this is the son.

    the same family in 1901

harry A Mantell (head), emily, ambrose, nathan w, fred, george & CHARLES (born 1884, age 17)

could this be the same charles? could he be the son of charles?

This doesn't seem to fit but it does have the names Charles, Ambrose and Mansell so possibly connected somehow. It's a baptism from the London Met Archives online on ancestry:

born 23 March, baptised St Nicholas, Tooting Graveney, June 24th

Charles Walter Mansell, son of Ambrose Charles Mansell and Mary Ann Mansell of Tooting Graveney. Father's occupation farmer.
