I am looking to trace Isabella Jane Pitcher born c1881 and married to George Henry Goldfinch in 1896. I am interested in tracing the pitcher side of the family as I have possible ancestors further up the chain and wish to confirm the link. Pitchers were based in Ramsgate, Thanet, Kent.

I cannnot find the right family in 1881, maybe someone else will have more luck.

I have a possible match for John in 1861 census, who was born around c1847, so I will how much luck I have with that, but it has only been possible through knowing Isabella's mothers and fathers name.

Looking at those options its most likely to be John Pitcher from Sturry as its based in Thanet.

One reason may have been that there is already a John on the 1881 census but there is no death that matches. It is possible that one of them didn't have his first name on the census.

I'm not too sure if that is the right John from Sturry as he has completly different kids to the other John, Isbella's father.

Hmmm, i'm not sure where to with this, think its hit a dead end for John Pitcher! Thanks anyways guys!
