I am looking for Josephine O'Brien. she was born in Liverpool, an illegitimate child, her birthday was 6th june 1910.

her daughter said that there were 2 birth certificates for her. Josephines mother was Irish.

i cant find anything that resembles a possible entry of anything.

I figured if she was born 1910 then she would be in 1911 census - cant find her there.

the only birth i can see liverpool is dec qtr 1911 (MMN stephens) cant find a stephens/o'brien marriage and there are 4 other obrien/stephens children and if she was illegitimate i thought she would be the only one.

i cant see 2 birth entries for a josephine.

any ideas where i can try next please?

    thanks

    lisa

If she was illegitimate why would her mother's maiden name be in the index? Are you saying her mother was married but then had an illegitimate child?

How certain are you that she was born in Liverpool with that surname?

i dont know that her mothers name was in the index (that was the only one i could find online). Her daughter saw josephines birth certificate and its been lost since. she knew her maiden name as o'brien and knew she was born liverpool and we have her birthday.

we worked back from her death and age at death to get 1910.

I wanted to get another certificate but cant find any 1910 births. cant find any census and cant prove anything.i think ill have to go back to marriage certificate and get copy and try again from age on that.

    thanks for reading & help

two birth certificates is ntriguing - that usually occurs when someone has been adopted ie original birth certificate and then adopted birth certificate or when the child is born illigitimate and registered in the mothers name and then reregistered with the fathers name if they have married since or he has acknowledged them and agreed to be named

unless of course it was simply a case of two copies of same certificate just got at different times - perhaps for different purposes etc

yes it is intriguing. I have asked josephines daughter to get hold of those certificates. josephines mother came from Ireland to liverpool to have the baby and then the baby was given to nuns and brought up in a convent.

i asked about same certificates with different dates and she said that she is sure some of the info was different but cant remember what.

until i get those birth certs then think ill have to wait.

    thanks for your help

    Hello,

Does anyone know about the state laws that regulate the licensing for practising homeopathy and Psychotherapy in USA and Canada?

I am aware that different states have different laws. Guide me to the web sites that will help me know the laws of each state, and what I can do to get a license to practice there.

    Thanks
