    Default Divorce records search....please help.

Looking for divorce records for my Greatgrandmother Gladys May Baldwin nee Blows, residing in Arlesey Bedfordshire all I know is that either her or her husband (My great Grandfather) Rex Baldwin (later to reside in Preston, Lancs) filed for divorce between 1947 and 1957, as Rex Baldwin remarried in 1957 to a Margaret Orr. Cannot seem to find any reference to a divorce for Gladys or Rex

    Could Someone help?

    Thank you and Regards

    Liam

You won't find this online. And not all records survive. This is the National Archives' information page about looking for divorce:

    Hello

I too have been looking for divorce records in the period 1944 - 1948 and have been advised they are'lost', so am resigned to the fact that my mother was free to marry father or else what does that make me????? Great talking point!

Elsbels - what does it say on your parents' marriage cert? My father-in-law was married before he married my mother-in-law (though I didn't know that until they'd both died!!!!

On their marriage cert it states Fred Bloggs, , 27, formerly the husband of Mary Susan Bloggs, formerly Smith, spinster, from whom he obtained a divorce. [I've changed the names!]
