Thread: Francis Hoult Fisher married who?

In 1924 Francis Hoult Fisher married Violet L L Cousdale or Consdale in Kensington (An****y has one FMP has the other!) I have found on FMP (1891 Census) a Violet and her twin, Rose, living with parents at 10, Belinda Road, Lambeth, Brixton, this record would put her birth around 1880 in Camberwell. But I can not find a trace of her birth. - Can anyone shed any light on her? Is it the wrong Violet, as she would be some 19 years older than her husband And if it is wrong where is the right one!!

Free BMD has the name transcribed as both. As the original images are not there to view now, you would need to get the marriage certificate to find out her surname. It will also give her father's name which will help to find her on the census.

Violet may have been a widow or divorcee so Cousdale/Consdale may be her married name not her maiden name. She might also have been born abroad, or born and registered with a different surname for some other reason.

Thank you Starlight and Helen, although the couple in question are first cousins twice removed their relationship intrigues me, so I have ordered the marriage cert.
