According to the site he is not registered on any Census or Birth/marriage. I would supect this is because he is reg. as just John McKnight. I have no more credits to look further. Hope death helps it does give you a birth date of 1935, unless this is a son with the same names.

I also have no credits as I may have got as far back as I can on my Scottish side. If I do have to go back and then have spare credits, I will get back to you.
The same site that noggin, gave will have the information if you think these could be your people.
