Thread: Help needed Yorkshire, Sheffield area

Hi, I am trying to trace my stepfather's family. Thought I would give him the info as a Christmas present but not having any luck. His father was Frederick Cartwright (born 24 August 1906 died 24 Jan 1976) and his mother was Eveline Cartwright neé Marples born 11 Feb 1907. Her parents were Annie Marples (neé Asquith) and Herbert Marples. Annie had two sisters Ivy born in 1901 and Alice in 1903. I am trying mainly to trace his father's side but have had no luck. This all I presume took place in Yorkshire, Sheffield area. Any help would be appreciated or if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

Frederick's mother was Caroline Louise CARTWRIGHT nee Seymour she married Tom Cartwright in the 1/4 ended Dec 1901 reg'd Ecclesall Bierlow 9c 776

I was born an bred Sheffield and many of my ancestors were also b & b Sheffield so I have had a lot of experiance in researching this area. I also have discs relating to burials, marriages & baptisms, although the parish records need checking out for further info.
