Thread: Thurston and Linkhorn

I am trying to find the names of the parents of my two great grandparents as follow :



William Thurston born in Bacton Norfolk in 1830



Philis Linkhorn (wife of the above) also born in Bacton in 1835.



Any help would be appreciated

Dear Bandit,



Many thanks for all the trouble you have taken to help me. I have taken a long time to get on a computer and start looking into ancestry so any help gratefully received.



I am convinced that James Linkhorn 1811 and Lydia 1816 are the parents of my g grandmother Philis.



The Thurston side is not quite so clear. The John Thurston age 45 in 1851 census would apear to be the father of my g grandfather William born in Bacton 1830 ( I am surposed to be named after him). But no wife is mentioned or other children apart from William and no idea who the John age 40 is.



1841 John Thurston has a wife Harriet which is a family name and whilst the three oldest children could have left home can't help wondering where other children are in 1851. Also Hedenham is near Suffolk border and Bacton is North Norfolk.

Thanks again for help.



Still convinced my Thurstons are the ones in Bacton. I cannot tie up names in the Hedenham list. What remains the puzzle is no Wife mentioned in the Bacton 1851 rather under John Thurston The family Head is listed another "John" age 40. ? Perhaps this has been wrongly listed instead of the wife's name.I would not be surprised if it had been family name Harriet.Probably will remain a mystery.
