Hi,
I'm looking for relatives of Harrison, William Henry, son of Joseph and Margaret Harrison, who lived on 57, Avonmore Avenue, Mossley Hill Liverpool in 1915. William died in the WW1 in Belgium. He was a rifleman in the King's Liverpool Regiment. He was 19 years young when he died on 10/06/1915.This is what I found till now :I used the electoral registers to see if the family was still at the address of 57 Avonmore Avenue, Mossley Hill, after the First World War. Fortunately they remained at this address for some considerable time. In 1919 there are a Joseph, Margaret and Harold Harrison listed. Using a database called the Lancashire BMD I found a marriage of Harold Harrison to a Mary Stevenson at St Cyprian’s Church in 1919. It would seem that he and his wife stayed at this house after the death of Harold’s parents. In 1949 he is listed as a window cleaner. Unfortunately I can see no other electors at this address. Harold remains at the address until 1958 and from 1959 Mary is on her own implying his death but it may be that this marriage was childless? I have found the family on the 1901 census as follows: 42 Rose Lane, Allerton Joseph Harrison Head married 45 Gardener, domestic born Bebinton, Cheshire Margaret Harrison wife aged 44 born Halewood, Lancs Herbert E Harrison son aged 22 gardener, domestic Frederick Harrison son aged 20 joiner apprentice Harold Harrison son aged 14 gardener, domestic Leonard Harrison son aged 12 William H Harrison son aged 5 I have found the marriage of Herbert E Harrison to an Edith E Reading at St Michael’s, Garston, on 9th April 1907. He is listed as aged 28 and a gardener. I have used the Liverpool directories to try and track down any of these children after WW1. I have found in 1919 a Herbert Harrison, gardener, at Carnatic hall Lodge, Elmswood Road, Aigburth. In 1926 there is a Herbert Harrison, gardener, at 3a Sandfield Road but on the register he is there with an Elizabeth not an Edith so this may not be the right one. Frederick, the joiner, is at 33 Herondale Road in 1919 and still there in 1926 with an Annie Harrison but no children so far. Does anyone fits in any Harrison tree? Thanks for your help.
