    Default Edith Augusta Woolnough

I'm trying to find out who the parents were of Edith Augusta Woolnough, B.1899 Q4 in Elham, Kent. (2a 1044).

I have an Edith Augusta Woolnough in my tree B.1867 in Strood Kent ~ but she has disappeared after the 1891 cenus & I can't find out whether or not she died, married or emigrated... so I wondered if she had had another illegitimate child (she already had 2 by 1887).

If anyone can help... or has any ideas ???

    Hi Kirst,

The nearest one I can find had parents named Walter and Sarah Ann. On the 1901 census she is aged abt 3 but the 1911 census deffinately has her age as 13 so I do not think this is the one.

It is the same gir1s even though one of them has a different birth pace. I did agenera search for both ie the whoe country and this came up for Kent. I used Ediths dob and Rochester.. I cou1d not find her therafter However on the 1901 census I used Edith her dob and Rochester and funny enough Kent came up again with fema1e wives born in Rochester and wives born in 1868

    Sti11 - Jones - Monk - Perrott and Bonnett

so did she get married or hitch up with someone e1se which is why she is missing.

Question is was she born with this name or is it a married name which wi11 expain why she cant be found before these census's?

Do you have any more info

    kind

How strange.. I've just recieived an email from someone's name I found while trolling the genealogy sites...

She's got Edith Augusta Woolnough's death... September 1918.. in Plomsegate, Suffolk ~ aged 36 (Index ref: 4a 1016).

I've been searchin for Edith for ages... and never found anything after 1891... anyhow I 've sent of for her death cert... so we shall see !

~ funny that the family originated from Suffolk & thats where she (apparently ended up).. maybe she went back to her roots ~ but neither of us can find her on the 1901 or 1911 census... maybe she emigrated & then came back home...

Anyway... I shall know in a week or so when I get her death cert whether it's her or not ~ as to whether or not she's my Edith ??? we'll have to wait & see.

    Thanks for looking
