Thread: Arthur Vincent McYull

Arthur married Ann Maria Chappell 31 August 1863 Newington and died Mar 1866 St George Southwark.According to marriage certificate his father was also called Arthur Vincent McYull.

I would like to find the birth but no idea if the name is Scotch or Irish.No luck with British census.

Is it the Chapells or McYulls that you have been following



If it is the Chapells, I wonder if Arthur had an accent and his name been transcribed wrongly as I cannot find any others.



There are McCall's in that area.

I have the Chappells.My mothers line goes through Ann Maria's sister Mary Ann who married John Marvin Edmonds who named his children Bayliss after his step father.

An accent might influence what shows up on the marriage certificate but not on the death certificate unless a close relative reported the death.Even then

it may be a stretch.

I do not have the death certificate so informer not known.It may be a relative of the wife.
