Thread: robert FISHER 1851 wales & Ellen Gandy Sheals 1858 liverpool

trying to help a family friend... find children of this couples first marriages.

...She was convinced that her grandfather was an only child - but I have discovered it was a second marriage for both great grandparents, and the wife had four children already and the father six children already, so there were a lot of half brothers and sisters. She would love to find out more about them.. can anyone help please?



ROBERT FISHER (g-grandfather), born in 1851 in Wales. Butcher..



We can't find the name of his first wife, but they had six children before he was widowed (Edith -1876, Paul - 1877, Amy - 1879, Agnes - 1880 (born in Wales), and Sarah - 1886, and Grace - 1888 both born in Toxteth Park Liverpool).



In 1893, at Toxteth Park, Lancashire, he married ELLEN GANDY SHEALS, born in Liverpool in 1858, widow of John Sheals, and who already had four children, Louisa - 1878, Henry - 1884, Sarah - 1889 and John - 1891, all born in Liverpool.



This marriage produced another ROBERT FISHER (grandfather) born in 1899 in Carnarvon in Wales. We know the names from this point as he married Madeleine Morisson (French) and had one daughter

i think his wife was ellen Gandy LLOYD - first husband John sheals - married 1877 liverpool.

? found a death of a louisa mary , age 40 in mar 1920 Toxteth park. i wonder if she was spinster?



HENRY james sheals b1883 west derby.

SARAH catherine sheals b1889 toxteth park.

JOHN joseph sheals b1890 toxteth park.



their father died seept qtr 1890, age 39 & mother remarried in 1893.



i have both families in 1891, but cant find them after that. any ideas? thanks
