Default England and Wales Criminal Registers

    Hi,

Would someone be kind enough to look at the England and Wales Criminal Registers, 1791-1892 for John Henry Canepe, date of trial 15th September 1884, sentence-impriosionment, please?

Would just like to know what he did. It's the 1st time anyone in my tree has come up in these registers and i'm really interested to find out!

    Many Thanks in advance

    Mrsp

    Hi Elsabels,

Thank you so much for that! Quite a disappointing crime though! Kind of hoped it was something nastier! LOL!

    Thanks again,

    Hello

Sadly there is nothing juicy on the sheets of the registers I've looked at for my wayward ancestors, most seem to have committed larcency ...which is the taking of property belonging to another with the intention of depriving that person! The fore rummer of emblezzlement / fraud or daylight robbery?

    Register is worth looking at.....
