    Default Jackson/Phillip marriage

    Hi

Can I request help for a friend please? She is looking for a marriage between Frances Phillips and George Jackson, sometime in London between 1910 and 1920. And also the death of Frances (may have been known as Fanny). Frances was born 1891 in either Holborn or Islington and died 1971 or 1972. On Ancestry I can see both a George and Fanny Jackson in London Deaths but can't access the information.

I'd be very grateful for help

Im looking for the marriage but cant find it either, After 1915 the spouses surname is listed, cant see it at all. Does your friend have the correct details, will try again.

That was the only death i could find, it seems no one knew where she lived before she was at the poor union.

    Hi Folks

Sorry to interrupt this thread but the Fanny Jackson who died Oct 7 in the Pancras Union Workhouse was only 2 months old and were there Poor Houses in 1971 and occupations such as Horse Keeper?

If I am wrong I apologise most sincerely.

    good luck

    Maggie

Oh - thank you Maggie - that rules that particular Fanny out as this lady must have been a good age!

I have no more details Adele, other than Frances and George are on Parish Rolls at some point. Looks like maybe her information is wrong.

Cant find the marriage, if you get further details let me know and i will try again. Had a look on the 1901 census for Fanny, 3 girls by that name. I dont have much knowledge of the bourghs in London to figure out who it might be.

Found this but don't know if it is the one you want:

Frances Jackson born about 1890 died June 1/4 1970 St Pancras volume 5d page number 2281.

I too like the image of the baby snuggling up to its Mummy's shoulder.

    happy hunting

    Maggie
