    Default Looking for Joseph Redworth

    Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any information for Joseph Redworth c 1855 born Middlesex London.

He married Kate Boswell and had six surviving children at the 1891 Census.

    Justinier Redworth 1875 Midsx

    William Redworth 1876 Midsx

    Emily Redworth 1879 Kent

    Benjin Redworth 1884 Kent

    Frances Redworth 1887 Kent

    Asker Redworth 1890 Kent

William Redworth 1876 was my Grand Father. He married Elizebeth Sutton 6 July 1896.

Joseph, on his marriage certificate, he gives his father's name as John Redworth Farm Labourer.

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has knowledge to any of the above, or any info regarding the Redworth family anywhere in England OR Wales.

    Regards to you all

    Mondo

I also noticed that the daughter Justinia was an ag lab in 1891 and the next household down was headed by a widow also called Justinia.

Now I note the discrepancy that on Joseph's marriage cert he says his father is John, but on the baptism I found the father is James, I've found this marriage in the same church where the baptism happened:

    St John at Hampstead

    25 Dec 1875

John Henry Redworth & Eliza Noble

    father John Redworth

    both Johns are labourers.

    Hi Helen

Thank you for responding. I have aready got this record but I am not convinced that it is the correct record. My mother knew her grand father Joe Redworth. Although he states that he was born in Midsx, (the old county) he actually was brought up in Wales. Apparently, he spoke with a strong welsh accent. He was also illiterate, neither he or Kate signed their names at the Registry office at Woolwich in 1910. They did not get married until after their family was grown up. He states that his father was named John on the Cert.

    Hi Helen

This is indeed the baptismal record of my grand father.
