Thread: Vick father of Stephen and James

I would like some help with finding the father of Stephen Vick Chris.1784 and James Vick born1761 but christened in 1784. - Christchurch Hants. I dont know who James Married but he had many chidren - main one was Edmund Vick 1792. He married Sarah - suspect was a KNIGHT as she gave the surname to the children as a christian name - but I have no proof of that.. So any help with the gaps woud be very great.

Stephen appears to be the father of James. There is no Baptism for a Stephen in 1784.

All in Christchurch. There are other Vick families also.

Susannah = Stephen Vick, Baptised 19 Oct 1782

James = Stephen Vick Baptised 22 Oct 1784

Stephen = Stephen Vick Baptised 15 July 1787

William = Stephen Vick Baptised 17 Jul 1788

George = Stephen Vick Baptised 02 Sep 1789

Henry Bence = Stephen Vick Baptised 30 May 1792

Joseph Bence = Stephen Vick Baptised 09 Sep 1795

Jenny = Stephen Vick Baptised 08 Dec 1797

It looks as though his may have been an adult baptism just before he married. The problem is he probably married in the parish of his wife to be.

Hi - this is possiby one of the sons of stephen- they are definatey all Christchurch - anD this son was BORN IN 7 JUY 1776 - so he woud be of age - i wi ook into it. if you find more in this area for Vick post them on and I can check them out. many thanks again
