Hi Sian, up until 7yrs ago I lived in Cookridge and lived there for 21yrs, so I know the area well. I have looked at the 1891 census and 'Whitehouse Farm' wasn't in Cookridge, but about a mile up the road in Old Bramhope.

I've followed the enumerators route and think he starts (page 1, district 14) on Moor Road just before the junction with Moorland Road. Next, he travels along Moorland Road (Bramhope Moor) and then along Occupation Lane into Old Lane (Old Bramhope). He's on Occupation Lane on page 4 (Whitehouse farm is on page 4) page 5 he's in Old Bramhope, and by page 7 he's at the Dyneley Arms (I know it well). So his route after Old Lane was turning right into Pool Bank New Road (a continuation of Harrogate Road) down to the Leeds Road cross roads, the Dyneley Arms is on the cross road. From this info I deduce White House Farm was on, or just off Occupation Lane. As to whether the farm's still there, sorry I don't know.

If you look at the satellite option on Google Maps you will see Occupation Lane is still rural, mostly fields, and the houses do look like farm houses, but could now be private housing. Many old farmhouses in North Leeds no longer belong to working farmers.

You could try this Leeds help forum, maybe someone there will be able to help. http://www.yorkshireindexers.co.uk/forums/index.php

Have you looked on 1911 census to see where they were then? Have you checked the bmd indexes to find when and where they died?
