Thread: 1891 Census Look Up Please

Well, I feel like I am doing something completely wrong.



I have a birth certificate for a PATRICK CONNOR born 4 April 1883.

His parents were MICHAEL CONNOR and BRIDGET CONNOR nee DOLAN.



Patrick was born in Bold Street, Eccleston, St Helens, Lancashire.



His birth was registered on 10 May 1883.



I have tried to look for the family on an 1891 census but to no avail in the St Helens area and Liverpool.



I have found a Michael Connor living in St Helens in 1891 age about 34 but he is a boarder in a house and there is no wife or child with this person.



I did do a quick search for registration of deaths for Bridget and Patrick but I couldn't find anything there.



I can't find anything for a Bridget Dolan either.





I also have a marriage certificate for one LAWRENCE RILEY and MARY CONNOR for 10 June 1883 at Sacred Heart Church, St Helens, Lancashire.



I cannot find these people either on an 1891 census.



I do have a registration of death and a grave location for LAWRENCE RIILEY for 1913 in St Helens, Lancashire. He was living in Lyon Street, St Helens, Lancashire at the time of his death.



I just wondered if anyone can help. Am I really having problems finding them or am I suffering from "family history block"!!!

First of all thank you for taking the time to help and for looking at the census and I'm glad it's not just me that's having problems finding these people.



Unfortunately, the Laurence and Mary in Liverpool are not the correct ones. They are listed as being born in Liverpool. I know my Lawrence was probably born in Cavan, Ireland and Mary Connor was definitely born in St Helens, Lancashire.



When my Lawrence died in 1913 he was aged about 57.



I can't believe I can't find five people!!
