Thread: Burial lookup request

Hi



I am looking for the burial date of George Cass born 1797 in Whitby. His wife Elizabeth is in the 41 census without him and the 51 as a widow. He was a sailor. His death is likely to be between 1833 (when his last child was born) and 1851. The family lived in The Cragg, Whitby in the 51, the 41 no address apart from Whitby, although Elizabeth continued to live at The Cragg in all her census. I assume he would have lived and died in Whitby or at sea perhaps.



Any help much appreciated.

The only death I can find in Whitby for a George Cass was in 1859 which is outside your timescale.
