Thread: parfitt family from somerset

i have been searching in vain for a while now for james parfitt born in abt 1781 in somerset.he was married to betty(i cannot find their marriage so cant find her maiden name)

in 1841 the family were living in stoke lane shepton mallet

james his wife betty and childern

ann,eliza,leah,george,hugh and i think two grandaughters mary ann and sarah.



i cant seem to find james actual dob or names of his parents.

I have found a James at St.Peter and Paul Shepton Mallet Birth 19th Dec 1784 bap 18th May 1785 parents William and Elizabeth, do you think that might be him.

I've also just found James Parfit to a Betsey Green 31st October 1819 at St.Vigor Stratton on the Fosse which is her parish his is Sojourner in Stratton on the fosse.

I thought it might be a possible.

thanks for your kind help.i will look into the information you have given me.both are good possibilities.i do have little info on a few of their children.their son hugh born in 1828 in holcombe married caroline gwillim in wales.their daughter leah born in 1826 in holcombe married thomas treasure in on 14th febuary 1846 in holcombe.i will keep looking!thanks again.
