Hi can anyone help me please find the name of Thomas John Gunter parents Thomas was my Gt Grandfather do not know anything about this family my grandfather was Matthew James Gunter born 1901 at cwmtillery registration district Bedwellty have got Matthew,s birth cert but can not find anything out about Thomas no one left to ask about him and there are a lots of Gunter,s out there.

I found the following info - don't know if you have this....1911 Census

Thomas - 38 - born in Nantyglo

Elizabeth - 39 - born in Nantyglo

They had been married 17 years at this time



and the children.......



Mary Jane - 15 - born in Ebbw Vale

Gertrude - 13 - born in Ebbw Vale

Matthew James - 10 - born in Abertillery

Brinley - 8 - born in Six Bells



Then I went back to the 1901 census...........



Thomas - born in Ebbw Vale

Elizabeth - born in Nantyglo

Mary Jane - born in Ebbw Vale

Gerty - born in Ebbw Vale



no mention of your grandfather so he must have been born after 16th March that year which was when the census was taken



But I cannot for the life of me find any record of Thomas in the 1891 census - i tried looking at both Nantyglo and Ebbw Vale as birth places as well as Bedwelty as mentioned by Geniegenie above.
