Thread: Trying to find parents of Alice Stansfield

Can anyone help me try to find the parents names of Alice Stansfield.

I believe she was born 1904ish-Her married name was Millington but I'm not sure if she is the same Alice that is at the Boardmans house in 1911 as Alice Boardman -niece. I know its all confusing but I wondered if she may have been the daughter of a sister of Sarah Ann boardman Osborne streeet Manchester and Stansfield was the sisters married name. Sarahs sisters were Emma Allaway-Elizabeth & Mary- Slizzy and Jeuel helped me find these a few days ago but i just cannot find anything about them after 1881, whether they married moved or died its a complete mystery and i don't know where else to look.

I think this birth from the indexes answers the Elizabeth/Alice confusion.

Wendy, there's no guarantee that Mary and Samuel were Alice's parents. To prove Alice's parentage you would need to buy her birth cert.



Mary and Samuel Stansfield are on the 1911 census, it is possible Alice was staying with her mother's sister on census night, but without the birth certificate you can't be certain.

If the Alice in the Boardman household on census night was listed as Alice Boardman, then isn't it more likely she's the dau of either Samuels sister, or brother, and Alice Stansfield is a different person?
