Thread: Look up in 1901 census please for Herbert!

Would someone please help me and find Herbert Sheward (b,1843) and his wife Susannah in the 1901 census please? Herbert was born in Hartlebury ,Worcestershire. I am interested in finding out how many children he had. Also there ages and Herbert's profession. I know he died in 1906.

I'm a bit confused there is a herbert sheward on the 1891 census aged 48 wife susannah 46 albert 19 george 14 mary l. 10 herbert 7 james 4 frederick 9/12 months. But on the 1881 census they are down as herbert and susannah (shuard) with an older son william 11yrs.



I've not looked at he 1901 census as of yet but I know Geniegenie has already i just thought i'd give you this info also to backtrack names etc and it might be an idea to look at the surnames Shuard as well as Sheward.

Thanks for the query which as answered many things for me. I could not find this family on the 1881. on my computer i find the "wildcard" thing not very good. i should have known better though. some of Herbert's brothers were listed as Shuard in earlier census.



Thanks once again. Now i can expand the family tree and this part of the family leads off to Canada.
