Thread: looking for Reginald Frederick Crossland

I am searching for Reginald Frederick Crossland born in Harrogate in 1885.

I know he moved to London and was working there in 1911. He was a widower at this time living on his own. Are there any family out there who were born to this man or anyone who can give me any kind of info regarding this man all info will be gratefully received.

This would appear to be Reginald's marriage. The indexes pre 1911/12 don't give the name of the other partner. The pages names are arranged dependant how many couples were married in an area on the day.



There's a choice of two brides

2) Louie (maybe Louise, but the index says Louie ) Blanche Tomlinson

There's a few Crossland births with mmn Jackson, but all are in the north of England, either Notts. or Yorks.

A big thankyou for the information you have posted for me. Now I would really like to come forward from 1911 and would love to know if there are any other marriages, children or even military service. I am also having a problem finding a death record for him.

On the 1911 census he is living in Wandsworth. Is there any descendents out there who can give me any information I am lacking?

The death indexes haven't been fully transcribed yet so you might need to wait or be prepared to trawl through them quarter by quarter for every year.



As for finding descendants - the chances of them being on this site and seeing your thread and looking at it would be remote. I have been doing family history for over 10 years and have only had one contact with a descendant in my tree, although I am on many genealogy sites.



It would be more likely you could trace descendants through the births indexes and then try to trace them.
