Yes - I have their marriage cert - Catherine Doran = father William.



Just sent for their daughter Maria's wedding cert as i am also interested in

maria's husband John Mannion.



Would most like to trace whereabouts in Stockport - as I was born there too. Have scoured thomas devine on 1841 census - but my Thomas's father was also Thomas and there is no trace on 1841.

Did you notice that Stockport was recorded as being in Lancashire, well as all residents know it is in Cheshire! Was he born somewhere else but apent his formative years in Stockport?



Church records, I would go for St Mary's up by the market, I think the records are at Chester RO, www.chester.gov.uk

copies at Manchester Central Library...not sure of the area your in! www.Manchester.gov.uk
