Thread: Trying to find maiden name of Sarah Anne Boardman

Can anyone pleaase help me try to find the maiden name of Sarah Anne Boardman born 1863 Manchester. Married William boardman of 97 osborne street his mother was Hannah and father was James Boardman. When Sarah and William married in 1882/3 they lived at 94 osborne street and went on to have children william, samuel, Joe and adopted Herbert Hillier who is my grandad. would be very grateful for any info pleasae-I've tried all the main sites but can't seem to get the surname of Sarah.

there are a few baptisms for a Sarah Ann/e Ashworth in Manchester, Newton Heath etc around 1862/3.



I think the only way you can be sure is to get the birth cert for one of William and Sarah's children or possibly a baptism entry might give her maiden name.

Same batch has elder sister Mary's baptism but no others with same parents.
