Thread: Trying to find Death Records

Would be very grateful for any help in finding the death records for my gt. grandparents, John Thompson Saunderson and Susan Phillis Saunderson (maiden name was "Tune"). I have very little to go on other than that they were possibly living in Withernsea, East Yorkshire just before they died. They were both born in Hull and lived most of their lives there. I have searched freebmd records and yorkshirebmd with no luck. Is there anywhere in Withernsea I could email or write to? Thank you in anticipation.

The district Patrington is in the county of East Riding of Yorkshire

Thanks very much for your help. I thought John might have died before 1919 as there was no mention of him on his daughter's marriage certificate, Aug 1919. The death reference could be Susan as the age fits, she was born in 1857 and on looking at a map I can see that Patrington is situated on the Hull to Withernsea road, so this is most likely to be the registration district. I am not sure whether John's middle name of "Thompson" would have been used on a death certificate but he was born in 1850.

Yes, this certainly does sound like him, I think I will take a chance and apply for the certificates. Many thanks to everyone for their help, I've been looking for years.
