Thread: Great grandmother

Hi can anyone help with filling in a gap, I have my Swanage Pedigree for surname Tomes, my Great Grandfather Horace Heans tomes b: 1874 married Annie Louise WORSAM b: 1876 but there is no record of Horace, Annie or 2 of their children in the 1911 census and cannot find a death record for Annie can anyone shed any light as to what happened to her.

Howevere, I did an index search and there appears to be a family of Tomes living in Weymouth.



Horace Tomes age 36

Annie Tomes age 34

Herbert age 10

Ronald age 3



Could these be yours?

I tried Horace Tomes and too got no hit.

But I tried Horace (exact) and Tom(Starts with) on the 1911 search engine and got this hit so it hiccuped!

I think the only way you will find out the address is if you download the information from www.1911census.co.uk

It is cheaper than a GRO certificate and I think your £5 worth of credits last a year so you can use them on other relatives.

thanks, part of my other side of the family that we are researching is my great great grandmother Frances Henrietta Fletcher born in West Indies in 1857, I do not know her mothers surname all I know is her name is Sarah and she was born in Ireland but I dont know where in 1832, but I also dont know what her fathers christian name was all I know about him is Army, I dont know where he was born, I know probably to find out Sarahs surname and Fletchers christian name I need Frances's birth certificate, but how do i go about getting it? who do i contact? unless you know their names and can help me, it is driving me mad.
